The Institute for Improved Health Outcomes (IIHO) is a highly respected, not-for-profit healthcare consultancy firm whose strength is turning knowledge into better care for people across the health system. The Institute uses the best evidence available to develop innovative solutions to problems within the health care system and monitors the impact of these innovations on the quality of care delivered.
Our work is supported by partnerships with government health agencies, universities, health practitioners, researchers, non-profits, and private donors. The Institute operates a robust data repository that integrates data from across health systems. Additionally, our services include designing, implementing and evaluating evidence-based continuums of care, brokering the relationships required to advance better outcomes, providing project and research management services, and conducting advanced analytics in support of our partners.
Reporting to the Projects Director, the Project Manager will assume the management and accountabilities for a specified portfolio of projects. The role requires extensive engagement and collaboration with a broad array of stakeholders, including medical professionals, health administrators, and government agencies.
Day travel throughout Alberta is required, with occasional overnight travel a possibility. ABJHI employs all full-time staff on recurring one-year employment contracts pending major client contract renewals.
Operating within a multidisciplinary team environment and supported by clinical design, measurement and evaluation services, the Project Manager’s responsibilities include:
Bachelor’s degree required. A degree in a health-related field and/or an MSc or PhD is considered an asset. A minimum of 3 years’ experience in project management is required. Health-related work experience is considered an asset. The successful candidate will demonstrate effective and strong organizational, communication and problem-solving skills and the ability to multi-task and work in a dynamic environment with competing deadlines. Furthermore, they must possess the ability to exercise tact, discretion, and good judgment. Equivalencies of education and experience may be considered.
