Responsibilities/Duties:
The research associate will coordinate multiple musculoskeletal research groups within CORe. This role will include developing research proposals, obtaining ethics and administrative approval, and coordinating/completing data collection and analysis for studies selected by the associated research programs. The research associate is also responsible for knowledge translation activities including preparation of abstracts and manuscripts.
Qualifications:
– PhD or equivalent in health-related field preferred; Master’s degree in health-related field acceptable
– Musculoskeletal knowledge/experience an asset
– Proficiency in all MS Office applications – database experience (e.g. ACCESS) an asset
– Competency with research design/statistical methods/analysis and software program(s)
– Ability to effectively manage/coordinate simultaneous projects and successfully prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines
– Willingness to travel to different clinical sites within the Edmonton health zone to liaise with clinical staff as necessary
– Assertive, self-motivated and able to work independently with little supervision/instruction
– Excellent interpersonal skills in dealing with co-workers, clinicians and subjects
– Able to deal discreetly with confidential information and follow privacy directives
