In a presentation at the Canadian Orthopaedic Association’s 2015 annual general meeting, ABJHI described the comprehensive, multi-layered strategy rolled out across Alberta to promote adherence to the province’s care path for hip and knee replacements. The strategy, managed by ABJHI for Alberta’s Bone and Joint Health Strategic Clinical Network, made the care path standard practice on the front lines of health care, resulting in improvements in patient outcomes, patient satisfaction and other measures of quality.
