Cochrane Award for Research Recognizes Deborah Marshall’s Outstanding Work
Deborah Marshall, ABJHI’s Director of Health Technology Assessment, has recieved the Cochrane Award for Research – a faculty of Medicine Distinguished Achievement Award from the Faculty Promotions Committee, University of Calgary.
Deborah, who is Associate Professor in the Department of Community Health Sciences, Faculty of Medicine, was nominated for the award by a broad spectrum of colleagues, including the Dean, department heads, faculty, student representatives and others.
“I am thrilled with this honour and share it with the talented, dedicated people on my research team with whom I work. The achievements recognized by this award would not have been made without their hard work,” Deborah said.
The award recognizes Deborah’s outstanding research achievements in the following areas: multiple rsearch grants from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research and the U.S. National Institutes of Health, her appointment as the Arthur J.E. Child chair of Rheumatology Outcomes Research, the renewal of her Canada Research Chair of Health Services and Systems Research, her service as the President of the Board of Directors of the International Society of Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research, the scholarship successes of her graduate students, and numerous publications.Share:
